UP Mission Kisan Samman Yojana 2021 – Block Level Outreach Program for Farmers

As the massive protests are carried out by farmers against new farm laws, UP govt. is going to launch a new programme to connect with farmers. For this purpose, UP Mission Kisan Samman Yojana 2021 would be launched in Uttar Pradesh. In this initiative, the state govt. wants to reach each and every farmer at the block level. This would help in making them understand about the benefits of new farm laws and how these laws will make them self reliant (Atmanirbhar).

UP Mission Kisan Samman Yojana 2021

Mission Kisan Samman Yojana 2021 in Uttar Pradesh state is a block level outreach program for farmers. The UP Kisan Samman Yojana is being finalized and is expected to be formally launched before 23 February 2020. CM Yogi mentioned that the new farm laws would be helpful in raising the income of farmers to realize the PM Modi’s vision of Doubling Farmers Income by 2022.

Along with the raised income, farmers would become self reliant in Uttar Pradesh as the new farm laws have the provisions to enable farmers to set their crop rates and sell it anywhere they want. This is a major step towards realizing the initiative of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan or Self Dependent India.

COVID-19 Protocols to be Followed

Since COVID-19 lockdown in March, most of the interaction with farmers was online. Now the situation is easing out, so direct contact would be made by the farmers. All the COVID-19 protocols would be followed in meeting out with farmers such as social distancing.

Benefits of UP Mission Kisan Samman Yojana

The Uttar Pradesh govt. will be setting up camps in all blocks where it will reach out to farmers and inform them about various schemes being run by both state and central governments. It would also educate farmers about the improvements in technology, new technology and sometimes provide direct benefit on the spot.

CM Yogi Initiatives for Welfare of Farmers

CM Yogi Adityanath has addressed farmers issues in most of his public addresses to showcase his govt’s commitment to farmers. Chief Minister Yogi has started many initiatives for the welfare of farmers. UP govt. has made historic payments to paddy, sugarcane farmers over past 4 years including arrears by previous Samajwadi led Uttar Pradesh government.

This UP Mission Kisan Samman Yojana will be an opportunity for the govt. to convince farmers that new laws are not against them. In fact, Uttar Pradesh govt. has taken several steps for farmers welfare and to raise their livelihood standards.
