Kalaigarin Varumun Kappom Scheme 2021 by Tamilnadu CM MK Stalin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has relaunched Karunanidhi’s Varumun Kappom Scheme 2021. The Tamilnadu CM has relaunched Kalaigarin Varumun Kappom (safeguard ourselves) Scheme on 29 September at a function in Vazhapadi in Salem district. CM mentioned that 1,240 camps would be held under TN Varumun Kappom Scheme. In this article, we will tell you about the complete details of scheme.

Tamil Nadu Kalaigarin Varumun Kappom Scheme 2021

Former Chief Minister Karunanidhi had started the TN Varumun Kappom Scheme which is now been relaunched by the state government. Health Minister Ma Subramaniam mentioned that earlier AIADMK government discontinued it due to political vendetta. Tamil Nadu CM Stalin handed over welfare measures to the tune of 24.73 crore to 2,350 beneficiaries of different schemes.

He later inaugurated regional transport officer’s office at Attur that was constructed at a cost of Rs. 3 crore. CM interacted with the sago farmers and industrialists at Attur after dedicating 2 buildings constructed by SAGOSERVE.

Karunanidhi’s Preventive Care Scheme in Tamilnadu

Under Kalaigarin Varumun Kappom Scheme, mega camps will be held at 1,000+ places a year. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will launch the first camp. If three medical camps are conducted under the scheme a year in each of the 385 blocks in the State, a total of 1,155 camps will be held. There are 21 Corporations in the State. Four camps should be held in each of the 20 Corporations, excluding Chennai. A total of 15 camps will be organised in Chennai.

In total, around 1,240 camps will be held in the State, he said. Doctors from 16 specialities – including general medicine, surgery, gastroenterology, paediatrics, obstetrics, ENT, nephrology and neurology – would take part in these camps.
