UP Free Smartphone Scheme for Anganwadi Workers – Latest Update
All Anganwadi workers will get smartphones in Uttar Pradesh after chief minister Yogi Adityanath, in a high-level meeting, instructed the officials concerned to ensure their distribution in order to help those crucial in implementation of women and child welfare schemes in rural areas. There 1.89 lakh Anganwadi centres in the state and around four lakh workers. The Anganwadi workers have played an important role in the UP model of Covid-19 control, a release issued by the government said.
“In order to smoothen their activities, the chief minister on Tuesday directed to provide smartphones to all Anganwadi workers in the state,” it said. All data related to women and children schemes will now be in the hands of Anganwadi workers, the release said, adding that the government will also train them n how to use smartphones efficiently for their work.
According to an official spokesperson, this will result in maximum transparency in implementation of the schemes. Decisions related to the schemes will be taken on the basis of real-time data, without delay, and the scope for corruption will be minimised, the release read.
UP Free Smartphone Yojana 2021 for Students
Just like Free Smartphone Schemes in other states, the state govt. of UP led by CM Yogi Adityanath will invite UP Free Smartphone Yojana 2021 online registration form. All the applicants would be required to fill the Yogi Free Mobile Phone Scheme application form through the official website of the UP government at http://up.gov.in/ or at a new dedicated portal. The official notification comprising of guidelines along with smartphone scheme apply online process is not out yet.

Steps to Apply / Register Online for Yogi Free Smartphone Yojana
STEP 1: The interested applicants first need to visit the website http://up.gov.in/ and then click the register button.
STEP 2: The applicants then need to fill their personal and contact information required in the form. Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Name of Father/Mother/Spouse and district etc are to be filled in the first step.
STEP 3: The applicants can then review the filled application form and submit.
STEP 4: A unique registration number will be allotted to each candidate after submitting the details.
STEP 5: The applicants will receive a login password on their mobile number through SMS to complete the second step application procedure.
STEP 6: Login using the password received on your mobile number and fill rest of the details such as complete address, category, income details, and academic details.
STEP 7: Upload scanned copies of latest passport size photograph and mark sheet of 10th class.
STEP 8: If the candidate is found eligible after verification, the smartphone will be delivered to their home in second half of 2021.
In the second step of application, the applicants need to review the submitted information and make the final submission. After the second step is complete, the applicants will not be able to change/edit any of the submitted information.
Eligibility Criteria for UP Free Smartphone Scheme 2021
Only those candidates who fulfills the below mentioned criteria would be eligible for UP Free Smartphone Scheme 2021:-
- Applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh state.
- He / She must be studying in any of the government / govt. aided school.
- The annual income of the family of the applicant from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
- The applicant must be cleared in all his previous attended examinations i.e he / she must not have backlogs.

The e-smartphones under UP Free Mobile Phone Yojana 2021 will be kept in college library and would be issued to students like books. The state government of Uttar Pradesh had decided to procure 160 electronic smartphones in 18 government colleges in these districts. The decision to start distribute free of cost smartphones under Muft Mobile Phone Yojana is in consonance with the New Education Policy (NEP).
