UP Yogi Dihadi Majdur Bharan Poshan Bhatta Yojana 2021: Uttar Pradesh government on 9 June 2021 transferred online a sum of Rs. 230 crore to 23 lakh (2.3 million) labourers/workers as sustenance allowance under a relief scheme amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The Uttar Pradesh Bhawan Evam Anya Sannirman Karmkar Kalyan Board is running the scheme. In a virtual ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a token distribution of Rs. 1000 each to five labourers/workers to set the process in motion. He also launched a portal for registration of labourers of unorganised sector.

During Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak, poor people are suffering as businesses have been slowed down in Uttar Pradesh. This curfew has mainly affected daily wage workers (dihadi majdoor) but is necessary to prevent labourers lives. So, Uttar Pradesh govt. is coming with relief measures and as a part of this, Yogi Adityanath starts Dihadi Majdoor Bharan Poshan Bhatta Yojana. Yogi Adityanath mentioned that the schemes for the welfare of labourers /workers included the one for organising the marriage of daughters. CM even mentioned that the senior ministers and officers welcomed the guests at such weddings. Social security cover of Rs. 2 lakh was also being given to labourers/workers of the organized and unorganized sectors. More than 40 lakh (four million) migrant labourers had returned to the state during the first wave of Covid-19 in 2020.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said the labourers/workers were the most affected during the lockdown and the state government worked in their interest. Interacting virtually with labourers/workers of different districts, CM asked them about the benefits they were getting from government schemes. Labour and employment minister Swami Prasad Maurya briefed the CM about various works being done by the state government for labourers/workers.

The state govt. has released Rs. 1,000 as UP Dihadi Majdoor Bharan Poshan Bhatta Yojna Amount. Labourers/workers stood with the state government with full commitment in fight against Covid-19. The state government was working in the interest of farmers, labourers/workers and the youths.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a “Garib Kalyan” package for labourers/workers during the first wave of Covid-19. The state govt. constituted Uttar Pradesh Kamgar Aur Shramik (Sevayojan Evam Rozgar) Ayog for them during the same period. The commission was working to protect the interests of labourers and provide them jobs. He said state government’s model of working in the interest of labourers was lauded at every level.

Several relief measures includes shelter homes to poor and labour class people. The state govt. of UP has also ensured adequate supply of ration and food items to workers. In addition to this, Rs. 1,000 assistance has also been sent to bank accounts of registered labourers. But the problem is arising as most of the shramik are not registered under govt. scheme.

STEP 4: All the interested applicants can enter their aadhar card number, mandal, district, mobile number and click at the “Aavedan / Sanshodhan Karein” button to complete the registration process with Uttar Pradesh labour department.

  • Daily wage workers are required to go to either municipal council or municipal corporation or civic bodies or gram panchayat for offline avedan.

  • Only those labourers whose name is not registered at the UP Labour dept. portal or applicants name is not present in MGNREGA Workers List can only apply.
  • पटरी दुकानदार/ वेंडर, रिक्शा/ तांगा चालक, टेम्पो/ ऑटो/ ई रिक्शा चालक, दैनिक दिहाड़ी मजदूर/ मंडियो मे पल्लेदारी करने वाले / ठेलिया चलाने वाले, अन्य दैनिक कार्य करने वाले व्यक्ति can apply offline or online.
  • In municipal council, nominated nodal officer and in municipal corporation or civic bodies, executive officers will make registration of labourers. The collector has been given the responsibility to nominate nodal officer.

    In case you are a daily wage earner, then you must possess some documents for Yogi Majdur Yojana registration to avail scheme benefits:-

    Uttar Pradesh Government has announced a new scheme to provide monetary help of Rs. 1,000 for Coronavirus (COVID 19) Affected Daily Wage Workers. This UP Govt. Scheme will benefit 35 lakh people in the state including 20,37,000 daily wage labourers and rickshaw pullers. Around 15 lakh people who runs kiosks and other small businesses and are dependent on daily income to ends meet will also be part of relief scheme.

    CM Yogi Adityanath has also urged people to follow guidelines issued by government. CM laid stress on taking urgency for stringent measures and said that outbreak can be stopped only with collective efforts.
