Sikkim Skilled Youth Startup Scheme 2021 Apply Form for Unemployed Youths

Sikkim government is going to invite Skilled Youth Startup Scheme 2021 registration / application form for educated unemployed youth. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang had started this Kaushal Yuva Start up Yojana at Samman Bhawan earlier on 18 September 2020. In this scheme, the state govt. will provide loans on subsidy to enable jobless candidates to generate employment opportunities. Interested applicants would be able to fill apply form at the following centres as mentioned below.

The new Sikkim Skilled Youth Start-up Scheme aims to generate fair entrepreneurial opportunities in rural and urban areas of the state. Kaushal Yuva Startup Yojana will provide benefits mostly to the educated unemployed youth. Sikkim Skilled Youth Startup Scheme Apply Form 2021

Sikkim Skilled Youth Startup Scheme will assist the youth in setting up a myriad of enterprises through loans with back-ended financial subsidy assistance. The financial aid to unemployed candidates will vary from 50% for Below Poverty Line (BPL) and 35% for the rest on financially viable/bankable projects from the state government. Commerce and Industries Department will implement the scheme through the District Industries Centres (DICs). How to Get Skilled Youth Startup Scheme Application / Registration Form

The Sikkim Skilled Youth Startup Scheme application form will remain available at the following offices:-

A) DIC (E/N) in Gangtok for applicants in East and North Sikkim.

B) DIC (S/W) in Jorethang for applicants in South and West Sikkim.

Where to Submit Filled in Sikkim Skilled Youth Start-up Scheme Form

All the applicants are required to submit their completely filled in application forms along with a detailed project report and other relevant documents addressed to the General Manager of DIC (E/N) or (S/W) in Gangtok and Jorethang.

Objectives of Sikkim Skilled Youth Startup Scheme 2021

The main objective of Sikkim Skilled Youth Startup Scheme 2021 is to create new livelihood options for the youth to make them self reliant. Nodal department has been issued directions to setup a committee to guide and inform the scheme beneficiaries. Sikkim has huge scope and potential in terms of dairy, poultry, piggery and various other opportunities for self employment. Youth can now explore their entrepreneurial skills and to propel them towards contributing to the state’s socio-economic development.

Atmanirbhar Sikkim as a Part of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan

New Sikkim Skilled Startup Youth Scheme is one of the way forward to build an Atmanirbhar Sikkim as a part of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. The current COVID-19 crisis is an eye-opener for the youth to take advantage of the scheme and make themselves self-sufficient. Minister for Commerce and Industries, B. S. Panth said “The scheme is to generate entrepreneurship among the educated unemployed youth of the State and also to enable the multi-talented youth to take up entrepreneurial activities in their desired fields.”

Back End Subsidy on Startup Loans

The Sikkim state govt. through the Commerce & Industries Department will provide admissible financial assistance to unemployed youths. The aid will be of either 50% (for BPL) or 35% (for remaining applicants) of the approved bankable project cost in the form of back-ended subsidy. Commerce & Industries Department of Sikkim would release the back ended subsidy to the concerned public sector banks, PSU or other financial institutions upon sanction and disbursement of the project.
