Odisha Mamata Scheme 2021 Details
To alleviate the issue of maternal and infant undernutrition, Government of Odisha has launched a state specific scheme for pregnant women and lactating mothers called MAMATA- a conditional cash transfer maternity benefit scheme. This scheme provides monetary support to the pregnant and lactating women to enable them to seek improved nutrition and promote health seeking behaviour.

Objectives of Mamata Yojana in Odisha
- To provide partial wage compensation for pregnant and nursing mothers so that they are able to rest adequately during their pregnancy and after delivery.
- To increase utilisation of maternal and child health services, especially antenatal care, postnatal care and immunisation.
- To improve mother and child care practices, especially exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding of infants.
Target Group of Mamata Scheme
Pregnant and lactating woman of 19 and above age group, for the first two live births except those who avail maternity benefit (who are themselves employees or wives of employees of State Govt/Central Govt/PSUs).
First Installment in Odisha Mamata Scheme
The Odisha Mamata Scheme beneficiaries will get Rs. 3,000 as first installment on fulfillment on the following conditions:-
1. Pregnancy registered at the AWC/Mini AWC | AWW (Anganwadi Worker) / ANM (Auxilary Nursing Midwifery) | (Mother and Child Protection) MCP Card, Scheme and ICDS Register |
2. Received at least 2 antenatal check-up (ANC) | ANM | MCP Card and Mother andChild Tracking System(MCTS) / Reproductive and Child Helath System(RCHS) |
3. Received IFA tablets | ANM | MCP Card and MCTS / RCHS |
4. Received at least one TT vaccination (Out of optimal 2) | ANM | MCP Card and MCTS / RCHS |
5. Received at least one counselling session at the AWC / Village Health and Nutrition Day (VHND) / Home Visit | AWW / ANM | Scheme and ICDS Register |
Odisha Mamata Scheme Second Installment
The Odisha Mamata Scheme beneficiaries will get Rs. 2,000 as second installment on fulfillment on the following conditions:-
1. Child birth is registered at AWC(Anganwadi Centre) or HSC(Health Sub Centre). | AWW/ANM | MCP Card, ICDS Register |
2. Child received BCG vaccination | ANM | MCP Card, MCTS / RCHS |
3. Child has received Pentavalent 1 & 2 & 3 vaccinations | ANM | MCP Card, MCTS / RCHS |
4. Child has received Polio-1 & 2 & 3 vaccination | ANM | MCP Card, MCTS / RCHS |
5. Child has received Rotavirus 1 & 2 & 3 vaccinations | ANM | MCP Card, MCTS / RCHS |
6. Child has received Mealses vaccine before attaining 1 year of age | ANM | MCP Card, MCTS / RCHS |
7. Child has received Vitamin-A first dose before attaining 1 year of age | ANM | MCP Card, MCTS / RCHS |
8. Mother has attended at least six Growth Monitoring and Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counselling sessions | AWW | MCP Card, ICDS Growth |
