Bihar government is going to start Didi Ki Rasoi Yojana 2020-2021 for patients undergoing treatment at govt. run hospitals. The state cabinet on 12 January 2021 cleared health dept’s proposal to run Didi Ki Rasoi Scheme. This scheme would be run in hospitals across the state to provide hygienic and nourishing food to in-house patients. In this article, we will tell you about the details of the Didi Ki Rasoi Yojna.
Bihar Didi Ki Rasoi Yojana 2020-2021
Bihar cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar has approved the proposal to start Didi ki Rasoi Yojana in hospitals in all districts and sub-divisions. In these kitchens, food would be cooked by women associated with self-help groups (SHGs). Didi ki Rasoi Yojana would be run by Jeevika Didis across the state.
Jeevika Didi to Implement Didi Ki Rasoi Yojana
Didi Ki Rasoi Yojana project was initially started on an experimental basis in Vaishali district. Later the facility was expanded to Gaya, Saharsa, Purnia, Buxar, Sheohar and Sheikhpura districts under Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (BRLPS). There are around 1.20 crore “Jeevika Didis” associated with 10.2 lakh women self-help groups. CM Nitish Kumar has directed the officials to expand the project to other districts as well.
Diesel Run Auto Rickshaws to Run in Patna
Bihar Cabinet Committee has approved the transport department’s proposal to allow diesel-run auto-rickshaws in the areas falling in the state capital. Diesel autos would also run in Danapur, Khagal and Phulwarisharif Nagar Parshad for the FY 2021-22.
Earlier, orders were issued by the state transport department to impose a ban on plying of diesel-run autos under PMC areas with effect from 31 January 2021 to improve the air quality and reduce pollution in urban areas. Similarly, plying of autos was to be banned in Danapur, Khagaul and Phulwarisharif Nagar Parshad with effect from 31 March 2021. With the cabinet’s seal on the transport department’s proposal, the diesel-run autos will ply till March 31, 2022.
Appointment of Employees in Bihar Revenue & Land Reforms Department
Bihar cabinet gave clearance to the appointment of 3,883 permanent employees in the state revenue and land reforms department. Appointments will augment the documentation of land records in the state. CM said that while system analysts and programmers will be deputed at the headquarters, data entry operators will be posted in circle offices.
CM Potable Water Scheme
The state cabinet committee has also decided to release Rs. 300 crore from the state contingency fund for the implementation of the CM potable water scheme for fiscal 2020-21. The Chief Minister Potable Water Scheme is being implemented by the state public health and engineering department. The cabinet also gave its nod to the water resources department’s proposal to release Rs. 456 crore from the state contingency funds for the prestigious Ganga Water Lift Scheme. The department will ensure the supply of clean drinking water of the Ganga in Patna to Rajgir, Gaya and Bodh Gaya towns under the scheme.
The cabinet also gave clearance to the formation of the Bihar Judicial Officers Conduct Rules, 2021. These rules would replace the Bihar Judicial Officers Conduct Rules, 2017. Bihar cabinet meeting also approved the home department’s proposal to fix the tenure and age of the chairman and the members of the central selection board (constable recruitment). Altogether 14 proposals were passed at the meeting of the state cabinet on 12 January 2021.
